DAYS 95-97, Tue May 4th TO Thu May 6TH 2021 – Exploring mountain and the city
Ok this and the following posts are maybe more about photos than text. Both include nature so we got lot of photos. First trip was a day trip to a nearby mountain. As a Finn I of course made sure I am in time to meet with the other for the mountain trip. I had lot of time to explore while waiting and walked through a very nice market area where people were selling all kinds of stuff.
The vegetables looked fresh and nice and there was a cool mood to the place.
When the others arrived we took a bus to the mountain and while driving it really increased my feeling that Bulgaria really beautiful mountainous country.
There is not that much to tell, except maybe that it is quite cold at the mountains. This might be obvious to many, but for suck person like me who has really never been to mountains it came as a surprise. Down below the mountain it was full summer with green trees everywhere, but there the trees had no leaves and in some spots there were still some snow left. Also I did not know there was actually a reastaurant there..
We walked and jumped around and finally did some lunch.
After that it was time to return home. The day was fun.
Next day we explored the city and found a place to play some
pool.
So far I really like Bulgaria and Sofia. Cool, calm and beautiful city
Some facts about Bulgaria so far include lot of broken down
houses, lot of casinos and gambling advertisement, grumpy people and not too polite
service and nodding and shaking head is opposite from what we are used to and
does create some moments of confusion. Those broken down houses lure me and my imagination.. if I had such empty industrial buildings in my disposal I would make super cool things in them or to them.. ok next we go for an real mountain trip spending there few nights and ending up in another city all together..
